At the age of 94, Haruko is on the edge of existence. Cared for by her Japanese-Brazilian daughter, Sumiko, she lives in a house surrounded by memories, dreams and nature.

Faced with death, the two face ghosts from the past and wander the narrow path between the earthly and the transcendental.
